in accordance with Law 131/2002 on Higher Education, Law 552/2003 on Public Service Employment, and the university’s selection principles for university teachers, researchers, and senior officials, announces a recruitment process for the following position:

Two Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions
Department of Biomaterials, Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glasses

Qualifications and Experience:

• PhD (doctoral degree) in Biomaterials, Biology, Chemistry, Material Science,
• Specialization: Microbiology, Biomaterials, Chemistry, Inorganic non-metallic materials, Organic chemistry.
• Experience in biomaterials, cell viability analysis, antibacterial testing, glass, or polymer science especially in bio glass, development, and characterization of inorganic (glass, bio glass) materials, composites
• Experience with biological testing, analysing techniques like XRD, SEM/EDX, FTIR, bioactivity, in vitro testing of the materials and microbiology
• Good command of written and spoken English

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental and applied research in biomaterials, with a focus on bioactive glass and biopolymer processing, characterization, and additive manufacturing
• Contribute to the development of research proposals and actively seek external funding
• Collaborate with international academic and industrial partners
• Work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
• Publish in high-impact journals and present research at international conferences
• Prepare research reports, proposals, and scientific communications
