Human resources and personnel management – Philosophiae doctor (PhD.) - part-time

Admission Requirements:

The basic condition for admission to doctoral study in the 3rd degree study program "Human resources and personnel management" is the completion of a study program of the 2nd degree of university studies in the study branch 3.3.14 Human resources and personnel management or graduation of the 2nd degree in one of the study programs from system of study programs 3.3 Economics and management.

Applicants are selected on the basis of the results of the admissions interview with admission committee, according to the proven knowledge of the applicants in the field of study, as well as the ability of the applicant to explain to the admission committee the content, methods of solution, structure and expected results of the selected dissertation. The admission committee will select candidates who will be best placed to study III. degree.

Part of the admissions interview is to present prepared dissertation project (approximately 15 pages, 1 page annotation in a world language) to the committee  and scientific debate in accordance with the posted theses to the issue of the study program Human resources and personnel management.

Profile of graduate of the 3rd stage of study program Human Resources and Personnel Management in the Field of Study 3.3.14 Human Resources and Personnel Management is conceived by a set of expertise and knowledge from the field of human resources and personnel management. Graduate gain knowledge of the current state of scientific knowledge in the theory and practice of managing human resources and personnel management, which are based on their own scientific research and independent creative activity. The graduate is able to independently work, examine, identify, analyze and specify problems in the theory and practice of human resource management and personnel management, seek and apply adequate ways of solving them. The graduate has comprehensive, deep and special knowledge about human resources management and personnel activities, graduate recognize the scientific methods of research. The graduate is able to develop relevant knowledge of management processes and to generate new knowledge about human resource management and personnel management through scientific activity. The graduate is also able to build efficient human resource management systems in large organizations. The graduate will acquire the prerequisites for applying in the area of research, development and management of human resources in educational, advisory, personnel, personnel counseling departments and branches of production organizations, state administration and self-government units. In addition,  graduates are able to keep in touch with modern development trends in the field of research, management and development of human resources and to advance in their own professional development.

Graduate of the 3rd stage of 3.3.14 Human Resources and Personnel Management acquire:

  • methodology and methods of scientific work,
  • ability to explore, analyze and create new knowledge,
  • ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical activities,
  • ability to present and justify the results of their work in a foreign language.

Graduates may be employed in the positions of a scientist at universities, scientific research institutions, senior management of manufacturing enterprises, state, public and other organizations.
