Admission Requirements:
Obtain full secondary education or full secondary vocational education and successful admission process.
The conditions for foreign students are identical to the conditions of Slovak students.
Applicants undergo the admission procedure. The best applicants will be admitted to study according to the results of the admission procedure. The results of the admission procedure are found as the sum of the points obtained for the average result at the secondary school and the points for the individual type of secondary school. The average result at secondary school is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the grades at the end of the 1st to 3rd year of study.

The graduates of the Ist stage of Human Resources and Personnel Management study program can competently carry out HR activities in manufacturing enterprises and organizations, they can ensure the fulfilment of their staff and payroll agenda. Acquired knowledge enable them to independently create and implement projects and propose troubleshooting of problems related to providing organizations with required work force.
Studying in the first stage of the Human Resources and Personnel Management allows a graduate to gain theoretical knowledge and insights on:
- political, social and economic settings related to the reproduction and development of human resources;
- economy and society development regularities, trends in the development of the organizations, the approaches in contemporary management, on procedures and techniques related to the management of people in state-owned, public-administrative and production organizations;
- social, economic and humanitarian aspects of reproduction, education and workforce development in society and in organizations;
- regularities of education and the development of a particular personality, his/her ability to learn, to work creatively and communicate with other people;
- psychology and sociology of human behaviour in social groups and work teams,;
- personnel work, economy management, social psychology, economics, computer science and theory of organization.
The first stage of the Human Resources and Personnel Management study program provides practical experience of the personnel-management activities in organizations, the behaviour of the people working in teams, in organizations and in the labour market. Graduates of the study program obtains the following practical skills and abilities:
- ability to analyse and evaluate the status, trends and problems in occupational relations and personnel work;
- to obtain and evaluate information on the situation and trends in the labour market;
- to create and implement programs and policies of personnel management in organizations;
- to solve individual and group problems and conflicts related to personnel work and occupational relations;
- to understand the external factors which influence the development of the workforce in organizations (the development of the population, labour market, social development, legislative aspects of occupational relations);
- to ensure implementation of personnel payroll agenda in the organization.
Graduates of the first stage of the Human Resources and Personnel Management study program are capable of:
- keeping in touch with the latest trends in the economics of knowledge and management;
- evaluating the expertise and skills of people, organizing, motivating, and rewarding their work,
- exploring the interests, desires and wishes of people and exerting care about them,
- obtaining, selecting and placing workers according to an organization’s needs;
- communication and relationships between people in the organization,
- elaborating plans for job creation, training and staff development,
- following professional ethics and legal standards at work.
Graduates of the first stage of the Human Resources and Personnel Management study program can be employed at:
- Recruitment agencies, educational, counselling and social organizations of state and local governments,
- non-profit organizations (civil associations, foundations, funds, chambers of professional, charitable and religious organizations);
units involved in personnel and human resources development within production, state, public and non-profit organizations.
