Textile Technology and Design - Bakalár (Bc.) - part-time

Admission Requirements:

a) basic admission requirement to Level 1 study programme in Textile Technology and Design includes completion of secondary school leaving examination

b) successful passing of the entrance examinations

Information about the Programme of Study:

Study discipline of 5.2.26 Materials in the  programme of study Textile Technology and Design focuses on acquiring basic knowledge in the area of production, testing, technological processing, selection and degradation of properties of main technological material types. Graduates are qualified to work in industrial enterprises in the area of technological material production, its technological processing into semi-finished materials and products, as well as in the area of their quality control and procurement, together with design of products for industry.  They acquire abilities and skills in material properties diagnostics, have knowledge in working with testing devices, know how to evaluate structure of materials and can design materials for products based on their design and properties.

Students who complete the first level of the Bachelor study discipline 5.2.26 Materials and the study programme Textile Technology and Design acquire basic knowledge in the area of production, testing, technological processing, selection, and degradation of properties of the main categories of technological materials. Graduates will acquire knowledge about chemical composition of both, metallic and non-metallic materials.

They are prepared for employment in industrial facilities dealing with processing of materials into products, as well as in the area of quality control and design of products for industry. They acquire abilities and skills in material properties diagnostics, have knowledge in working with testing devices, know how to evaluate structure of materials, and can design materials for products based on their design and properties.

They are able to work as members of design teams, individually address technological issues, and maintain contact with technological development in the area of technological materials.

Access to further studies: Possibility to study at the Master level in the study programme of material engineering and discipline no. 5.2.26 Materials, or related study discipline.
