Material Technologie - Bakalár (Bc.) - full-time

Admission Requirements:

Completion of secondary school leaving examination is the basic acceptance requirement.

Information about the Programme of Study:

Study programme of Material Technology focuses on formation of bachelor-level graduates who are specialised in creative work in the area of production technology of materials, optimum use of material properties, material quality control and processing through modern technological methods.

Students who complete the first level of the study discipline 5.2.26 Materials and the bachelor study programme in Material Technology acquire basic knowledge in the area of production, testing, technological processing, selection, and degradation of properties of the main categories of technological materials. Graduates will acquire knowledge about chemical composition of both, metallic and non-metallic materials. Graduates are qualified to work in industrial enterprises in the area of technological material production, its technological processing into semi-finished materials and products, as well as in the area of their quality control and procurement, together with service and maintenance. They are able to work as members of design teams, individually address technological issues, and maintain contact with technological development in the area of technological materials.

Access to further studies: Possibility to study at the Master level in the study programme of material engineering and discipline no. 5.2.26 Materials, or related study discipline.
