Physiotherapy - Bakalár (Bc.) - part-time

Admission Requirements:

The completion of secondary school leaving examination is the basic acceptance requirement. Another acceptance requirement is the successful passing of admission tests – a biology test in the scope of secondary school subjects and the verification of physical abilities, consisting of swimming, athletic disciplines, and gymnastics.

Information on the Programme of Study:

The graduate of the bachelor´s degree programme Physiotherapy is a health professional with a broad professional profile. He/she is competent in basic investigation and treatment procedures and methods in physiatry, balneology and medical rehabilitation. The graduate is prepared to perform activities that require professional erudition, self-dependency in work, in decision-making, personal responsibility in medical rehabilitation, in primary, secondary and subsequent health care, preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, counselling, and subsequent educational activities. The graduate indicates, plans, and performs basic techniques, methods, physiotherapeutic procedures and exercises, basic physiotherapy and balneology methods, hydrotherapy, ergo-therapy, electrotherapy, kinesiology.

The graduate of the bachelor study programme Physiotherapy can be employed in hospital and health centres or spa treatment facilities, in specialised treatment and rehabilitation institutes, and other facilities that provide preventive and medical care, or health protection and promotion. The graduate has prerequisites for further university, specialised, and continuing education.
