Admission Requirements:
The basic criteria for admission into the level II study programme in Nursing include the completion of the study programme in Nursing at level I and at least one year of professional practice.
Information on the Programme of Study:
The graduate of the Master's study programme Nursing has the theoretical and practical potential necessary for the development of nursing in the field of education, management, and research and clinical practice; recognises and has proficiency in pedagogical principles and methods in the professional preparation of nurses and individual or group (family) education; is familiar with the management principles at all the levels of management; finds out and presents his/hers own solutions to nursing research problems. He/she gains the ability to provide and manage nursing care independently and work at all levels of the nursing sector; organise and work within the field of nursing training, planning, organising, and working on the projects related to the health of population and to work self-dependently also in the interdisciplinary teams on the tasks related to the provision of nursing care, professional training, and management. The graduate has knowledge from the field of humanitarian subjects such as: philosophy, psychology, and sociology, so that she or he can use it in her or his work in all areas of nursing care and has knowledge of medical disciplines that he or she is able to use in the provision of nursing care of individuals or family, group; and he or she has also the knowledge and skills to work with electronic media.
The graduate of the Master´s study programme Nursing provides individual nursing care and develops nursing practice in all the areas of health care system, is able to think critically and work with the results of reliable studies, participates in scientific research activities and uses scientifically justified working methods, procedures, and techniques which can be provided by qualified nursing specialists, identifies nursing problems that can be the subject of nursing research, and uses and applies the research results of nursing practice in accordance with ethical principles, patients´ rights, with emphasis on maximum quality and efficiency.
